It’s bad enough that there’s now an entire blog dedicated to photoshopping tattoos on people, but now I’m just staring at this picture of ~hardcore~ Zach Galifianakis and laughing hysterically right before class

all these are based off of the illustration at the top left and found on that facebook page’s tagged photos (facebook.com/timshumateillustrations) It must suck to have tattoos done that badly, AND have it be on so many other people. I especially love the one that says “follow your own path”

barebackintheday asked: For floral tattoos, do you like something graphic or more painterly? Or do you not like floral at all
I’m not really sure what you mean in regards to “graphic v. painterly”, but if it means what I think it does, I’m personally against a good majority of watercolor tattoos; they only really translate well with very certain artists who are specialists in that style, so to speak. I’ve posted some good examples of floral tattoos here if you wanna take a look

If you’re in a mood to punch yourself in the face go to youtube and search ‘tattooing myself’
People just don’t know the extent of their ignorance. For anything you can imagine, there is a person out there who knows more than you and/or they are doing it as their profession. You wouldn’t try to do electrical work in your house if you haven’t had some training, because let’s be honest, you’re probably an idiot and you’ll mess it up. So, why in the hell would you tattoo yourself with no training?
This is what happens when you mix tap water with ink and then tattoo with it. It’s called Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. MRSA for short. It shows up in these liquid filled bumps, a couple months after the tattoo is done. Basically what happens is that the bacteria gets trapped with the ink under your skin, your skin heals over, trapping the infection under your skin and then months later you get this. Once you contract MRSA, you have it for life. There is no cure. Most treatments only work for so long because it is resistant to antibiotics. You will start noticing random sores on your body. Some of which won’t heal. Eventually you will get more and more of them will not heal. The infection will eat away at your skin, slowly, until it reaches the bone.
GO. TO. A. PROFESSIONAL. I can not stress this enough. I know people that this is a reality for them. Don’t make the same mistakes they did.
don’t let this be you just because you didn’t want to wait and/or save up money for a good artist so you let some hack in their kitchen do your tattoo

Just a quick signal boost; the artist of my first tattoo, Kyle Lavorgna of Albany, NY had his machine kit stolen. I don’t know if any of you live in or know somebody in the San Diego area that might be able to help, but Kyle’s a great dude and I’m sure he’d really appreciate all the help he can get!
E-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any information that could be of assistance!

What the fuck is with hand tattoos without sleeves? People, you look stupid. You EARN your hand tattoos, it’s traditional. Less visible tattoos first, then sleeves (which can still be covered for job interviews), and lastly hand/neck/face tattoos. All these teen/early 20s idiots are running around with tattooed knuckles and hands, and good fucking god people, you don’t even have established professions and stable careers. Your “cool” or “yolo” hand tattoos are going to impede your opportunities in life. I say this as a heavily tattooed woman of experience, and yes, yes, yes we all bitch and moan and are unhappy that tattoos are frowned upon in the work place. But, it’s something you can’t ignore, hide from, or pretend doesn’t exist. Prejudice will meet you head on, you’ll be overlooked for promotions, you’ll be seen as less professional, and the general public will hold less respect for you because people are sometimes assholes. Sad truth to life. So avoid the stupid floating tattoos on your goddamn hands if you don’t even have sleeve tattoos. Fucking Millennials.
